Newtown transport by public train or bus provides easy access to Sydney’s most famous sites like the Opera house, the Rocks, the Harbour bridge, Sydney’s iconic beaches or just about anywhere you want to go.
Train from the airport to Central Station costs $17, then bus or train to Newtown approx. $4.
To find us: From Newtown station exit and turn right. Walk 5 minutes up King Street till you reach the 7-11 store, (corner of Brown St.) Egan Street is exactly opposite. Billabong Gardens is 50 metres up Egan Street.

Bus & train services to the city are just a few minutes walk from our door. Newtown train station is on the T2 Airport, Inner West & South Line. For a Sydney train network map, click HERE. There are many bus routes that pass through Newtown. After midnight there is a bus service to and from the city every hour.

Billabong Gardens offers undercover onsite parking which must be booked with your accommodation ($10 fee). Sydney is developing as a bike-friendly city with many bike lanes throughout the city and we encourage anyone with a bike to use this as a preferred method of transport – we do!
